Thank you for supporting the 2023 Festival of Trees! All decorations, lights, and cords need to be removed from the trees at the Courthouse by January 7. Decorations and lights left up after that will be donated to the festival. We are thankful for the many groups who decorated the trees this year, and for the youth of our community who are helping us remove the trees mid-January.
Proceeds go to the "Christmas for Sharing" Charity through the Lighthouse in Clay Center, KS. The cost of the tree is divided between Christmas Sharing, Lincoln Creek 4-H, and the Clay Center FFA (for their help setting up and caring for the trees). The more trees purchased, the more money that goes to charity, and the more beautiful trees we have to look at downtown.
You will have at least one week to decorate your tree once the trees are up on the square! (For best results, you must use LED lights, shatterproof ornaments, and provide your own outdoor 25-foot extension cord.) All trees will be turned on at the lighting ceremony at 6:30 p.m. on November 25. Come join us to hear festive music and watch the lights come on downtown! PLUS we get a visit from Santa 🎅🏼
